The average flight time is three hours. Since Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the United States, no passport is required for US citizens. Driving Directions:

From Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport - San Juan (SJU)

• Take Interstate PR-26 East (Este) heading towards Carolina (do not head towards San Juan).
• Continue on PR-26 which merges into the PR-66 toll road.
• Take PR-66 all the way to the end (the toll is $1.50 each way).
• Turn right on PR-3 at The Outlets shopping mall.
• Proceed approximately 15 minutes staying in the left lane (there is a total of 6 lights).
• Turn left on Route 187 after passing the Ralph's Supermarket. The sign for Bahia Beach Resort will be on your left.
• Continue on PR-187 and drive straight through the town of Rio Grande.
• Continue approximately 5 minutes.
• The resort entrance will be on the right.

From San Juan

• Take Interstate PR-26 East (Este) heading towards Carolina
• Take Interstate PR-66 all the way to the end (the toll is $1.50 each way).
• Turn right on Interstate PR-3 at The Outlets shopping mall.
• Stay on PR-3 for about 10 minutes staying in the left lane.
• Turn left on Route 187 after passing the Ralph's Supermarket. The sign for Bahia Beach Resort will be on your left.
• Continue on PR-187 and drive straight through the town of Rio Grande.
• Continue approximately 5 minutes.
• The resort entrance will be on the right.

From Jose Aponte de la Torre Airport - Ceiba (RVR)

• Head northeast.
• Turn right onto Boxer Drive.
• Continue onto Interstate PR-3/Ave Lauro Piñero/PR-979.
• Turn right to merge onto Interstate PR-3.
• Take a slight right at PR-187.
• Continue on PR-187 and drive straight through the town of Rio Grande.
• Continue approximately 5 minutes.
• The resort entrance will be on the right.

From Ponce

• Take Interstate 52 North.
• Continue on PR-52 North.
• Take the exit toward Interstate PR-26. Continue on PR-26 which merges into the PR-66 toll road. 
• Take PR-66 all the way to the end (the toll is $1.50 each way). 
• Turn right on PR-3 at The Outlets shopping mall. 
• Turn left on PR-187.
• The resort entrance is on the right.

From Fajardo

• Take Interstate PR-3 northwest toward CII A.
• Take a slight right at PR-187.
• Continue on PR-187 and drive straight through the town of Rio Grande.
• Continue approximately 5 minutes.
• The resort entrance will be on the right.

From West

• Take PR- 22 East towards San Juan
• Take the exit toward Interstate PR-26 East to Carolina.
• Continue on PR-26 which merges into the PR-66 toll road.
• Take PR-66 all the way to the end (the toll is $1.50 each way).
• Turn right on PR-3 at The Outlets shopping mall. 
• Turn left onto PR-187.
• The resort entrance is on the right.
